在音乐世界的多元发展趋势当中，东亚和东南亚的当代电子声音已经在近年崛起。在 Shy People 厂牌成立之时，我们特别邀请同行，来自伦敦厂牌 Eastern Margins 的创意总监高崇耀（Anthony Ko）制作了一只新 Mix Set。
Eastern Margins 是一个以音乐为出发点的集体，同时也是活动主办方和唱片公司，他们的宗旨就是在伦敦这样的电子音乐重镇展现来自东亚和东南亚人群以及海外侨民的创造力。Eastern Margins 团队本身也是多元血统的混合，2018年由出生于南京，在英国成长的 DJ Lumi 等人创立。这个大家庭的成员目前还有 DJ/多面创意 Jex；DJ/制作人 JD X；负责平台编辑内容的 ST三F 和 EZ；以及 DJ/厂牌经理 Arya R。
“伦敦已经被封锁了一年多，这激发了这里的人们与东亚/东南亚的创意者在线上进行更深层次的合作的欲望，而这些创意不再受地域界限的限制。最近的特别合作包括 Laenz（纽约）和 T5UMUT5UMU（东京）的 EP《Unsleep》（由柏林的 Tabitha Swanson 做视觉设计；在 Through The Window 厂牌出版）。由上海社区电台策划的网络直播创作，合作者包括 3ASiC、Guan、HARIKIRI、Yeihaiyahan、Yider、YIKII、Double Clapperz、Everlast Phantom、Cyanide Ghost、MC TingBuDong、Steve Pan、David Dedalus、Jaya 和 Heatwolves 热狼等人。Boiler Room 即将推出的‘Respect Our Elders（尊敬我们的长者）’汇聚了来自东亚/东南亚，散居国外的音乐家做跨代合作，这是对西方反亚洲种族主义最近兴起的回应。”
Anthony Ko 的正职是一名建筑师，同时也是视觉艺术家，DJ（AKA Adanko）。他出生于香港，年轻时移居英国，现居于伦敦。他的灵感来自各种折衷主义的影响：
“这次混音融合了我所有的影响力和灵感，以及经过2020这漫长的一整年之后仍然激发着欣快感的音乐。曲目包括 Eastern Margins 家族中的最爱，来自东亚和东南亚的音乐，以及我年轻时听的经典声音和深夜猛曲。其中的亮点包括 QQBBG 的‘Summer E Water (ASJ Remix)’；来自我家乡香港的能量，Sonia Calico 与 PRINCI 合作的‘Change，Reset (Mark Redito Remix)’ —— 侨民之间的洲际合作的缩影；而 DJ Fresh ＆ Dizzee Rascal 的‘The Power’则是他搬到英国后的启示。”
Anthony Ko (高崇耀) is an Architect, Creative Director of Eastern Margins, and Visual Artist who also DJs as 'Adanko'. Born in Hong Kong & based in London, his inspirations draw from a variety of eclectic influences, having moved to the UK at a young age. His creative work explores architectural drawing techniques combined with mixed digital media, and contemporary diaspora identity.
London has been under lockdowns for over a year now – which fuelled an appetite to collaborate deeper with a broader spectrum of East & South-East Asian creatives digitally, no longer restricted by geographical boundaries. Special recent collaborations include Unsleep collaborative EP by Laenz (New York) & T5UMUT5UMU (Tokyo) with artwork by Tabitha Swanson (Berlin) released on the label, Through The Window, a livestream production relay curated with Shanghai Community Radio featuring 3ASiC, Guan, HARIKIRI, Yeihaiyahan, Yider, YIKII, Double Clapperz, Everlast Phantom, Cyanide Ghost, MC TingBuDong, Steve Pan and David Dedalus collaboratively produced two separate tracks live on stream with an crowd-sourced sample bank, hosted by Jaya and Heatwolves 热浪, and an upcoming production with Boiler Room, ‘Respect Our Elders’, bringing together musicians from the E&SE Asian diaspora to collaborate across generations, produced in response to the recent rise of anti-Asian racism in the West.
"This mix is a concoction of all my influences and inspirations, and music that still ignites euphoria after a long 2020. Tracks include favourites from the Eastern Margins family, music from East & South-East Asia(ns), classic soundtracks of my youth, and late night bangers."

Eastern Margins is a music-focused collective, events series and record label that platforms creativity from East & South-East Asia(ns) and the diaspora. Co-founded in 2018 with Nanjing-born, UK-raised DJ Lumi, the EM family has grown to include DJ/multi-faceted creative Jex; DJ/producer JD X; ST三F and EZ who run the platform’s editorial side; and DJ/Label Manager Arya R.
