几个月前我们在 Instagram 发现一个大概是“basic 在上海”的家具设计账号 darkdetails，即被深深吸引。一方面迥异于西式当代造型模式，最先出场的蛇形灯具形象大胆且具象；另一方面，所有出品意外地使用了并未被主流业界所热衷的（工业）材料（甚至带树皮的木材）和搭配方式，并且手法粗暴和精细兼而有之。我们还特别喜欢 darkdetails 呈现产品的拍摄方式，它们与环境融洽相处又相当突出。
然后转折点来了，我们发现 darkdetails 背后的创始人竟是朋友谌利……他当年在 tumblr 就是一名获得不少关注度的摄影师，而四年前给唐霜的上海铜仁路买手店 THE BACKROOM 做室内设计的时候就显现了他的建筑专业能力，特别是对材料的灵活运用给我们留下了强烈的印象。谌利在 2018 年 创立了 archive 建筑事务所，darkdetails 则是他利用家具载体把玩材料的又一新途径。

darkdetails is a furniture brand designed and made by archive. Inspired by the connection methods of materials, darkdetails seeks and borrows from ready-made industrial materials. Empathizing a sense of confusion of our contemporary lifestyle with various joints of furniture products, re-imagining the relationship among materials, structures and furnitures.
