去年初见 Haomiiya (Miya) 的时候，是在某次派对前的聚餐，我对这位突然落座的雪白皮肤“瓷娃娃”并不以为然，直到她轻飘飘地蹦出一口京腔。在往后慢慢相熟的过程里发觉这女孩的品味极好。于是开始约她做派对开场 DJ。每次 Miya 都能把舞池照顾得特别好，最重要的是 —— 她为舞池带来了属于她的轻飘飘的仙气。

When I first met Haomiiya (Miya) last year, it was at a dinner before a party. At first, I didn’t think much of this porcelain-skinned “doll” who suddenly sat down at the table—until she floated out a sentence in a thick Beijing accent. As we got to know each other better over time, I realized she had impeccable taste. So I started inviting her to open my parties as a DJ. Every time, Miya manages to take care of the dance floor in her own special way. Most importantly—she brings her own light, airy magic to the room.

"This mix is an illustration of what I play when left to my own accord at my favorite smokey underground sanctuary in my home city. I think mixing slips and hiccups are part of what make a set fun to listen to; I enjoy hearing human errors in sounds that can feel otherworldly—almost like breaking the fourth wall.

The music in this set consists of sounds that I relate to most currently: a little dub techno with wobbly rhythms, somewhat nostalgic Latin beats that remind me of my childhood memories in Miami, moving into prickly percussion smothered in bass; with a tendency to almost always inevitably end up in a messy footwork puddle.” - Haomiiya, Recorded at Zhao Dai, Beijing.

Antigen Resident DJ, based between China and South Korea. With over 16 years of experience as a drummer, her sound is deeply rooted in percussive elements, with syncopated and skewed pulses being a main motif in her sound.
