Shy People 厂牌首张出品，Night Swimmer《Xia Ye》今天上线 Bandcamp 页面。目前先放出氛围单曲“飞来音”和舞曲方向的“忧郁果”，海外朋友们可前去收听，全长专辑的海外发行日期为8月31日。

Shy People is excited to announce that our first LP release, Xia Ye, from the Wuhan-based producer Night Swimmer is due to be out on August 31. Now you could hear 3 lead tracks in Bandcamp here: https://shypeople.bandcamp.com/album/xia-ye
In this mix set, Night Swimmer invited one of his best friends, Aunty Chen, to collaboratively mix and edit a 60-minute piece of music derived from fourth world electronic music. Starting from a panoramic landscape, these sounds meander through darkness and tranquility, and culminate with thin-air reverberation of imaginative synth chirps, creating a wholesome world of mesmerizing sounds and melodies that cannot be defined by ethnicity. Almost all tracks were edited by Night Swimmer.

本次 mix set 由武汉音乐人 Night Swimmer 和好朋友及 Shy People 的专栏写手 Aunty Chen 共同择曲并混音制作。两人创造了一个充满另类电子声响，不属于现代任何民族文明的抽象音乐世界——始于广袤，流经暗域，再归静谧田野与高空回响。其中几乎所有曲目均由 Night Swimmer 改编制作。
Otherworldly Summer 的这 60 分钟可以被理解为 Night Swimmer 创作新专辑时的灵感汇总：和自己所热爱声音世界的内在对话；也可以理解成一次政治性的身份讨论：西方“第四世界”音乐与我们的拉扯。从 Alice Coltrane 到 Visible Cloaks，从小久保隆到 Yu Su，东西方音乐的连接一直没有断过。他们互相的采样/模仿/借鉴，最后裹挟着暧昧不明的地缘性，不知不觉浸染了我们的耳朵。这背后的影响是消极还是积极？这是不是中国音乐人必须面对的天生创伤吗？
在 Night Swimmer 的原创曲目之下，Aunty Chen 朗诵来自《诗经》中《周南·汉广》的节选：
南有乔木，不可休思。

南方的树高又高，树下无阴难以休息。汉江有一位如女神般的姑娘，但我不能追求到她。浩浩的汉江多宽啊，我无法泅渡。长江的水长得没有尽头，木筏也过不去啊。
面对原初的伤痕，如何对我们心中的疑问作答？这一次 Otherworldly Summer 并不想要颠覆和解构。伴着这些经典旋律和节奏，就像在音乐之上自由地哼唱一般，我们对它们重新编辑、裁剪，Night Swimmer 再铺上自己的解读和创作。
这一次我们展示亲密的交融，是伤口的愈合，是庆祝。
抱歉，Aunty Chen 陈阿姨是个帅哥，一位来自丽江的音乐爱好者。贡献过年度美文《Yu Su “Yellow River” Blue》与我们的东方》。他也是出色的新卧室 DJ，做过两期 Shy People Mix：2020 及 2021 年度音乐总结。
