Clubbing Shift 2026 Q1 Version
Shy People’s Guide to China Mainland’s Club Scene
03.18 2026

Somewhere you’d like to go and take notes. This list includes the majority of clubs in China. It focuses exclusively on venues I have personally visited, as well as a select few run by friends or highly recommended by trusted DJs. It is fluid-the scene shifts rapidly, but the underground spirit remains constant. Honour the local scene and the real human connections on the dancefloor.
📍 上海 (Shanghai) (E1 — Mature scene & clued-up crowd)
- Heim: The best dance floor in Shanghai in my opinion. Exceptionally cozy with a highly "clued-up" rave crowd. The crew feels like a genuine family, making you feel right at home. [200, d&b audiotechnik] @heimshanghai
- wigwam: A sophisticated and chilled-out listening bar. DJ sets usually run from 10PM to 1-3 AM. [200, SILVERLINE/TPI/VOID] @wigwam.live

- Reactor: A massive club/live house opening in late March. ⚠️ Note: Major shareholders are linked to the Beijing venue Zhao Dai, which holds a controversial reputation regarding its inclusivity toward women and the queer community.
