“近年拉美地区的现代电子音乐之崛起，不仅融合自己地域特色，甚至映射了社会发展进程（可以阅读《DJmag》关于委内瑞拉《DJ Babatr: the Roar of Raptor House》的文章），让远在东方的我无比振奋。

“借用波多黎各的 DJ Rafy Melendez 的曲名 ‘Latin Dreams’，我把今年这些聆听总结成一个叫 ‘拉丁梦’ 的 mix set 以呈现我脑海中的当代拉美电子音乐图景。就像广州插画师皮赛冬创作的封面，它是迷幻又疯狂的；吸收欧美俱乐部舞曲再融入各种拉丁流派如墨西哥年轻制作人 1OO1O 那样把萨尔萨舞、梅伦格舞和曼波舞节奏导入 Techno 和碎拍之中。它也是痛苦而充斥情绪和爱意的，如迸发自加拉加斯贫民区但被阶级和社会意识形态所抑制十多年的 Changa Tuki / Raptor House 音乐，或者是 Chuquimamani-Condori（ta 的上一个身份就是我很喜欢的 Elysia Crampton）将艾马拉人的安第斯音乐与酷儿思考打碎丢进流行民谣的旋律和解构设计的噪音里。其中有一两首曲目来自非拉美制作人但根源仍在拉美。”

“The rise of contemporary electronic music in Latin America in recent years not only integrates its own regional characteristics, but also reflects the social development process (Read the DJmag article on Venezuela's "DJ Babatr: the Roar of Raptor House"), which makes me who are far away in the East extremely excited.

Borrowing the title of the track ‘Latin Dreams’ from Puerto Rican DJ Rafy Melendez, I summarized my listening this year into a mix set to present the contemporary Latin American electronic music scene in my mind. Just like the cover created by Guangzhou illustrator Tong, it's psychedelic and crazy; it absorbs European and American club dance music and then integrates it into various Latin genres, such as the young Mexican producer 1OO1O who blends Salsa, Merengue and Mambo with Techno and Breaks. It is also painful and full of emotion and love, such as Changa Tuki / Raptor House that burst out from the barrios of Caracas but was suppressed by class and social ideology for more than one decade, or Chuquimamani-Condori - their last Identity is my favorite Elysia Crampton - who throws the Andean music from the Aymara people and queer thinking into melodies of pop folk and deconstructed noise. PS, there are a few tracks from non-Latin American producers but the roots are still in Latin America.”
